Trouble shooting Solutions

Image does not process

1. Check to make sure no odd files other than jpegs are in the archive
2. Make sure that folders with the jpegs within them are compressed (means you can not just compress a set of jpegs, must put them in a folder before compressing)

Images bounce around when spinning in viewer

Ensure that the object is in relatively the same position in the viewfinder before taking the picture. Take care to ensure the same amount of space above and beside the object when taking the photo.

Images skip to different views than intended when rotating

Ensure that the images are in proper sequential order before uploading. e.g 01jpeg, 02jpeg, 03 jpeg etc

Zip/compression options are not available

7-zip (http://www.7-zip.org/) offers a free/open source solution for Windows, OS X and Linux operating systems, which accomplishes the above.

Images taking too long to upload/ upload confirmation screen taking too long to show

Please check your network connection or talk to your network administrator. Depending on your internet connection, file uploading can take anywhere from under 2 minutes to close to 30. http://internetfrog.com offers a good connection speed test which will help in diagnosing your problem. You will see the processing screen when image upload is finished.

Upload screen changes to a blank/error screen

Please check your network connection and or talk to your network administrator. This problem is most likely caused by a slow or faulty connection

Not enough physical space available to shoot object

Consider investing in a wide angle lens for your camera. (If available, consult your camera manual for more details) or move the object to a more spacious location.

Cannot get object to fill screen / have to move in too close, camera not focusing

Turn on macro mode for camera, if available. If not, invest in a macro attachment for camera. Also try turning off flash and increase amount of available light.

There is a large visual gap between views / rotation is not smooth

Take more care in number and spacing of views. Accuracy of spaces = smoother experience.

Cannot zoom in close enough to object

Increase the amount of resolution/Mega pixels captured. More pixels = more zoom

Image looks fuzzy when zoomed in

Double check that the image is in focus. Preview the image at 100% crop to determine actual sharpness. Double check that auto focus is working and properly locking on object (certain details can confuse camera autofocus lock- for example an area where there are many lines in one spot, like some car grilles) and retake photos.

Publish button does not do anything

Check to ensure that some form of pop-up blocker is not active. (Internet explorer, Safari, Firefox, Google tool bar, Yahoo tool bar etc.)

Navigating to X does nothing

Check to ensure that some form of pop-up blocker is not active. (Internet explorer, Safari, Firefox, Google tool bar, Yahoo tool bar etc.) Also, check internet connection and try refreshing page.
